Procurement & Material Manager

Maintain, update and assist to implement Quality Support Procedures and Project Work Schedules (Materials Procurement, Materials Management, Inventory Management,) for operational execution.

Research and find productivity annually through supplier cost reduction, resource, or similar means.

Resolve chronic part/source delivery or quality problems.

Manage vendor contract stocking agreements with an annual review plan to qualify renewal.

Assume full accountability for cost of components and inventory of raw material.

Assist the Materials and Planning Supervisors in setting inventory goals for assigned product lines.

Responsible for supporting Site/Project operations with sound and accurate purchasing schedules on a regular basis.

Work with Master Scheduler to ensure raw materials are available to meet Site/Project’s needs.

Maintain and follow purchasing procedures to conform to ISO standards. This includes thorough analysis of potential suppliers and annual review of existing suppliers reviewing costs, quality, delivery, and other pertinent factors.

Responsible for establishing and maintaining clear and effective Procurement policies and procedures.

Execute new initiatives aimed to correct or enhance material management processes and system set-up.

Works closely with Finance, Projects Control and Warehouse in successful implementation of periodic or ad-hoc material management-related activities (e.g. Physical Inventory, Cycle Count, Material Cost Review, etc.).

It is vital that you have over 5-year experience in a senior management role, ideally having prior experience of Procurement and material management position as well, and have handled construction of operating plants (water and/or power), and Civil infrastructure and O+M projects not less than SR.50 Million. Bachelor’s Degree in a business or related field.

Experience in materials planning, scheduling, procurement, or inventory analysis and control.

Good working knowledge of typical procurement and projects processes/schedules.

Must have the ability to understand Projects Engineering, Civil & Electro-Mechanical bills of materials, and be able to read and interpret Engineering documents and drawings.

Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, planning skills, negotiation skills, training skills and strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with multiple functions in a matrix environment.

You must have worked in the Water and/or Energy Sectors, and preferably have experience in:

Water treatment and desalination plants

Wastewater treatment plants

Water and Wastewater Networks construction with all variety of piping types

Operation and maintenance for the water and wastewater treatment plants

Power generation plants and its operations and maintenance

Infrastructure project

Supply Chain Management/Engineering
