Design Manager - Civil

To provide deep expertise in Civil Engineering while managing the team of Civil Engineers in order to execute projects related work.

Provides support and guidance to the Engineering Team on technical matters.

Ensures the work of Civil Engineers is completed in a timely manner and up to required standards.

Provide support and guidance to the Engineering Department on technical matters in the field of Civil Engineering.

Supports the Design Team Leaders and VP Engineering in the preparation of Engineering

Department's outputs (design development, design detailing, As-Built drawings, etc.).

Provide advisory support to other parts of the organization by bringing his deep expertise to bear on complex technical matters.

Develop and institutionalize Nesma’s Engineering databases, know-how, controls, and capabilities in the field of Civil Engineering.

Implement approved policies, processes, procedures and provide instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Support in monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and  procedures.

Comply with all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Interface with all parts of the organization when advanced Civil Engineering expertise is required (e.g. estimation, construction, procurement, etc.)

15 years of experience as Sr. Civil Design engineer in Construction Industry with Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.

Good computer skills and knowledge of engineering software specially Civil 3D, & Infrawork 360.

Knowledge of international applicable standards such as AASHTO, ASTM, SAES, MOC Highway Design Manual, Aramco, SABIC and Royal Commission Standards.

Master Degree in Civil Engineering is required.

Fluent in English.

Excellent knowledge in using AutoCAD CIVIL 3D to be able to demonstrate, calculate and execute item 2.

Excellent knowledge in using Flexible Road Pavement design as per AASHTO.

Excellent knowledge in using K.S.A local M.O.T standards.

Excellent knowledge in Transportation Engineering as per industry standards AASHTO.

Excellent knowledge in Airfield & helipad developments using local and international GACA, ICAO & UFC.

Excellent Knowledge in Survey Different datum system WGS84, Ain Al Abd & UTM and good knowledge in bathymetric Surveyor or Ocean Survey.

A good knowledge in BIM, HCIS is a plus factor.

Excellent knowledge in Geotechnical investigation and analysis.
